Big Boy

Kieran did great today at his 1 month check up. He is in the 91st percentile for his height and he is off the charts for his weight (he is 12 pounds 4 ounces).

He had 4 vaccination shots today and took them like a champ. He is much better around needles than his dad!

Kieran is 1 month old today

It's hard to believe that four weeks ago today we were meeting the little man for the first time. He is growing and becoming more alert every day. He no longer fits into newborn clothes and is already wearing 3 month clothes, but I guess that is not surprising considering the size of his mom and dad. Now if we can just get the big man to sleep through the night everything will be perfect.

Kieran Joseph Seymour

Kieran Joseph Seymour was born at 5:19 pm on Thursday March 27th. He is 9 lbs and 21 inches long. He is gorgeous (I may be a bit biased) and has a healthy set of lungs on him.

Kieran and I stayed in the hospital for two days, while we waited for my blood pressure to come down and his blood sugar to go up. We are both home now, happy, healthy, and tired.

9 Months

We can't believe we only have four weeks left! I'm starting to feel uncomfortable but nothing too terrible. I'm still able to go to the gym and work a full day, however my back and thighs definately start to feel it by the end of the day.

My last day of work is Monday, March 10th and then I will have nothing to do but work ahead in school and get ready for baby.

Baby Shower

My mom flew down for my baby shower over presidents day weekend. She spent all day Saturday spoiling me and her future grandson at the outlet malls. On Sunday my co-workers threw me a wonderful shower where again baby Seymour and I were spoiled non-stop. I never knew being pregnant was like having a birthday.

With all the new baby gear in the house it is starting to feel real and Ollie and I are getting excited.

8 Months

I am now 32 weeks, or eight months pregnant. I was progressing along nicely, yet somehow I managed to gain 4 pound in the last two weeks which is double what I should have put on. I'm up a total of 25 pound which is an extremeley weird feeling, but the doctor doesn't seem concerned. The doctor said my stomach measured a week ahead of where I should be, which doesn't mean the baby is coming a week early it apparently just means he is a big boy.

I am back in school after having almost a month off, so my busier schedule is making the time fly by. Ollie is almost finished with his school for his contractors license. Our house is just one big party with both of us working all day and studying all night. Neither of us can wait for school to be over.

My mom is flying down for my baby shower in two weeks, and I'm not sure which one of us is more excited. I will try to post some pictures from the baby shower to share with everyone.

7 Months

I hit the 28 week mark on Monday, a big milestone in terms of the health of our son. Basically, at this point I was told he has developed everything he needs and could survive outside the womb if he had to. Now he and I just use the remaining time to get fatter.

Ollie and I had a wonderful Christmas in Florida. My Mom, my step father Dennis, step sister Whitney, my brothers and my sister-in-law Judie, all made the long trip to spend the holidays with us. I loved every second of it and was a crying mess when everyone left (I'm sure hormones didn't contribute to the tears at all). Judie was nice enough to go to a doctors appointment with me so she is the only family member to date that has gotten to hear the little boys heart beat.

We have started the preparation process; touring day cares, meeting pediatrician's, and checking out the maternity ward at the hospital. I have a feeling the next 3 months will fly by as we get ready to meet our son.
